Delivery / Shipping Timelines & Expectations?

1 - 2 Days to fulfil orders from date of purchase unless the product advises it's a special order / pre order item.

How often do you guys restock sold out items?

Restocks are not part of our business model. Our approach is to acquire discontinued materials or produce a limited quantity of materials to avoid overproduction. Consequently, our inventory is limited, and once an item is sold out, we typically move on to new designs and products utilizing distinct materials. Our brand does not function as a fast fashion company, as this contradicts our values.

Do you guys offer worldwide shipping?

Certainly! We offer various shipping options based on the weight, volume, and ultimate destination of your order. Simply provide your details and address, and you'll receive prompt prompts for selecting your preferred shipping option.

I've been invoiced for duties and taxes on my order, do I have to pay?

You are required to pay duties and taxes on their online orders because these fees are imposed by the government of the country where the goods are being delivered. The amount of duty and tax is typically calculated based on the value of the goods being imported and is intended to protect the country's economy, control the flow of goods, and generate revenue for the government. It is important to note that duties and taxes are separate from shipping costs and are the responsibility of the recipient.

What shipping services do you offer?

We provide a range of shipping services that cater to different needs, from economy to next-day priority. Our courier partners include Sendle, DHL, USPS, Fedex, and UPS. Depending on your location, you may be presented with multiple options, so please select the one that best suits your requirements.

What are the best aftercare methods for your products?

We advise that you refer to the care label instructions on the garments for specific washing guidelines. However, for the majority of our cotton garments, we suggest washing them inside out on a cold setting, hang drying only, and then using a steamer to remove any wrinkles. This will help to prolong the lifespan of our 100% cotton products, minimize shrinkage, and reduce the risk of screen prints cracking.

We have partnerships with 1% for the Planet as a commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. 1% for the Planet is a global organization that encourages businesses to contribute 1% of their annual revenue to environmental causes. By partnering with 1% for the Planet, businesses can demonstrate their dedication to preserving the planet and supporting environmental non-profits. This can also help businesses build a positive reputation among consumers who prioritize sustainable practices and environmental causes. Through their partnership, businesses can support a wide range of initiatives, including conservation efforts, renewable energy development, and environmental education programs. 

Our partnership with "One Tree Planted" is aimed at contributing to reforestation efforts worldwide. As a non-profit organization, they focus on planting trees to restore forests and ecosystems, fight climate change, and promote biodiversity. To offset our environmental impact and support their mission, we have committed to planting one tree for each item sold. Who is @cnc.tm / Chess not Checkers?

CNC / Chess not Checkers is a brand created by Gavin Shade, a Melbourne-based designer passionate about motorsport and high end fashion. Gavin designs and creates every piece of apparel, merging these interests into unique, high-quality garments. All our products are made in Los Angeles, where Gavin spends his time constructing and overseeing production.

What are your release dates?

We announce our release dates on our Instagram @cnc.tm. We also email release dates and times to our subscribers. The time and date of announcements may vary, but they’ll always be shared via our newsletter and Instagram.

Do you have a store?

We've hosted a few pop-up stores, but we currently do not have a permanent location. All purchases can be made on our website. If you'd like us to come to your city, let us know by commenting on our Instagram pictures, and maybe we’ll visit your state next.

Can I return, refund, or exchange my purchase?

We do not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges. Be sure to double-check your measurements, color, and size before purchasing.



If there are defects or damages before you wear the items, please contact us immediately or send them back for a partial or full refund (depending on the item's condition). We are not responsible for normal wear and tear. Once a return label is provided by CNC / Chess not Checkers, the receiver must return the package within 7 days from the date of the label creation. After 7 days, the return will be considered invalid, and no refund or return can be made.

How do I check where my package is?

When tracking numbers are updated, you’ll receive a direct email. If you have an account, you can log in and click “My Order.” If your tracking information is not updated and not in your email (check spam), feel free to email us at info@cnc.store

I made a mistake on my order, what do I do?

If you made a mistake on your order, notify us via email at info@cnc.store immediately. If your order has already been processed and production has started, changes may not be possible. If you made a mistake on your address, email us immediately with your order number, full name, and the correct address. Always double-check your order information before checkout. You have to email us within 24 hours after purchase; otherwise, changes cannot be made.

I provided an incorrect address, but the item has already been shipped and lost. Can I get a replacement?

As the purchaser, you should ensure the accuracy of your address. All incorrect or incomplete addresses must be corrected within 12 hours from the time the order is placed. If not corrected, we are not responsible for any lost packages due to incorrect information provided. There are no refunds or replacements for lost packages due to incorrect or incomplete addresses. Double-check your address before purchasing.

What if I want to make changes after the 24-hour grace period?

Email us at info@cnc.store, and someone will check your order status. Changes to orders must be made within 24 hours after the order is placed. If your order has already been processed and you wish to make changes or cancel it, the best we can do is refund 30% and cancel your order.
